The real trophy. It´s a bit more protected than the Confed cup trophy was last year. I just walked up and took pics with it when it came to Loftus. But this one, came with an armed escourt, bullet proof glass and thousands of people who wanting to see it. Being a VIP I skipped the queue and got the ´once-in-a-lifetime´ pic and was on my way again.
A sharing of experiences, thoughts and revelation, that will hopefully inspire you, as much as it has inspired me. To not just exist, but to live. To not only survive, but to excell and to not only think, but to dream! To see and experience grace in action and to understand the power of knowing who you are, in Him. World Cup Build Up #3
16 Days and counting until kick-off. Today we had the World Cup Trophy stop over at the stadium, with much fan fair and excitement. People queued for hours for photos with the trophy and most were able to get a shot with the famous relic. My pics with the trophy will be on the next blog.
In other news, I have been given an opportunity to preach at a church in Nelspruit. This is very exciting and I am trusting the Lord for a more-than-relevant word for the church. To not just plant a seed, but to equip the saints for good works. Please join with me in prayer for an atmosphere of the prophetic and the miraculous on 6 June.

The pics below show us ´hard´at work, in getting the stadium logistically ready and flowing. Everything needs to be match-ready at least ten days before our first match at the stadium.
The view from our venue office, overlooking the botanical gardens - nice!
Every town in SA has at least one Hong Kong superstore, when you start looking, and they´re all run by Asians.

In between the build-up ...
In between the build-up to the biggest sporting event ,that the African continent has ever seen, there is still some time be a real person (Not that preparing for this mega-event is impersonal, it´s just that, when ones time is divided between work and play, you tend to not let-your-hair-down at work, if you follow my line of reason ...)
Seeing old friends has been an extreme added bonus. It is interesting for me to see how people have changed (or stayed the same for that matter) and how I have also changed relative to them. We live in the dimension of time, thus change is inevitable. However, some people do tend to be in some sort of time warp (none of my friends though) and succeed in defying this seemingly inevitable process. People like this, tend to have limited exposure to current events and could be put in the category of being reclusive. This is a chosen lifestyle.
It begs the question though: Is change bad, or should we embrace the inevitable?
To answer this, we must ask ourselves whether it is worth our while staying relevant to the culture of the day. As believers, it is of the utmost importance to be relevant. We owe it to the world to be able to answer the questions they are asking. We have insight, understanding and the mandate to be the salt and the light. Light shows the way. Showing the world The Answer to all their questions.
So yes, change is good. If we are changing for the better, ever renewing our minds and strengthening our faith, that is. Making disciples of all nations can only be done if we know the way people think and knowing their needs and wants ....
Don´t be afraid of change. Embrace it and stay relevant.
PS: My camera is broken, so pics are on ice for a few days.

World Cup Build Up #2 and more ...
Today´s post comes together with pics form the Nelspruit stadium. Most of the photos were taken before and during the ´friendly´match between Bafana Bafana and Thailand on Sunday. It was like seal-clubbing, as SA thrashed the Thais´s by four goals to nil. Later I ordered Thai chicken green curry, in honour of the lack lustre Thai team and most probably enjoyed it more, than they did their South African Safari.
I am seeing more and more how, having a secure identity in Christ, influences every area of our lives. Knowing that we were made for a purpose and bought for a ransom, from our otherwise destructive nature, should be more than enough to inspire anyone to greatness. Greatness comes from knowing who you are; it comes from taking hold of the promises that God has given and believing that He is faithful in keeping his word. Being great doesn´t happen by accident, it is done on purpose, by making the decision to believe who you are in Christ. The results are exponential in nature, your self esteem will improve, your vision will become clearer and your joy will be infectious!

World Cup Build Up #1
Reminded me a bit of the tower of Babylon - what a nation can achieve when we work together and put our mind to something. Keep a look out for updates and inside info, that you wont see on the news!

Setting a precident
My hope for this platform is to keep more people informed with what I am doing and also get more people involved with my vision. Therefore, there will be plenty of things to ponder upon, but also plenty to comment on, as well. Feedback is always appreciated, especially if it´s positive. I hope to have as many photos as I do ideas, to keep things interesting and relevant. Obviously God plays a major part in who I am and what I do, thus most posts will be centred around His genius! However, being heavily involved with the world cup coming up in South Africa, it will probably dominate the majority of initial posts. For your interest of course!
