Ministers Conference thus far

The annual Andrew Wommack Ministers Conference has been on the go this week, hence me being quiet on the blogging front! But here are a few tit-bits before I give the full synopsis later this week:

Pastor Bob Nichols had a strong time of ministry this evening, his message to everyone in attendance, who are in ministry, was this: GOD IS NOT DONE WITH YOU YET! This comes in the wake of many of the ministers at the conference being battered by the tough path of ministry and some on the verge of giving up. This simple yet powerful word started a powerful healing process and many ministries were rescued from the brink of despair! Maybe you need to hear this too, GOD IS NOT DONE WITH YOU YET, he still has a plan for you even though it seems hopeless, his love is still there to lift you up as long as you still have breath to breathe!

Pastor Bob Yandian has been speaking on the ministry of the Holy Spirit and today focused on dreams and visions. His message was also simple. Visions and dreams are the same thing, except one occurs when you should be awake, but are knocked out, and the other occurs in your sleep. ALLOW GOD INTO YOUR DREAMS, to speak to you and to impart vision, direction and wisdom. Remember the prophesy in Joel, which Peter quoted in Acts ...

Andrew has been speaking on the value of discipleship out of 2 Timothy 2, using the examples of the soldier and the athlete. Saying that Christians are extremely weak today and that we need to toughen up, we let our emotions control us too much, when we should just be controlled by our convictions!

The first week

The first week on campus at bible school has been awesome. Beyond expectation, is a good description I suppose. Before you venture into something new there is always a pre-conceived idea of how it should/ must be, but I have found that to pre-conceive God or to expect certain things from Him always sells short His ability to super-abundantly exceed those very assumptions. However, the more expectation we place on Him, the more we allow Him to come through for us: I think that's called faith!

Andrew taught on knowing God's will for your life, yesterday, something everybody I have ever come across wants to know. He approached in a novel manner through looking at Romans 12:1 - 2 :

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God"

We first have to be living sacrifices, before we can start the transformation of our minds and stop conforming. In other words: Forget what He wants you to do and focus on what He wants you to be. His vocation or line of ministry, for us will ,therefore, be secondary to being that living sacrifice. You will never have to ask God to use you again, because you will constantly be usable. Being a living sacrifice implicates a lifestyle and continual commitment to putting God first in your life.

This will lead to your mind being renewed and thereby knowing His good and perfect will for your life! What an encouraging truth!
